What is ThermiRF®?
ThermiRF® technology from Buinewicz Plastic Surgery uses heat and radiofrequency to perform non-surgical tightening and to dissolve fat. Among the benefits of ThermiRF®, is the fact that no surgery is required, you experience minimal discomfort and minimal risk of injury, and there is little to no downtime. It is also safe for all skin types. Unlike other non-invasive RF treatments on the market, ThermiRF® is applied under your skin which dramatically increases your results compared to other methods. When heated to a high enough temperature, the body begins producing new collagen that in turn tightens and smooths skin in the affected area. The inner layer of skin can tolerate temperatures over 122 degrees Fahrenheit, resulting in faster results when heated to that level. Previously, devices were required to go through the outer layer of skin to heat the inner layer, limiting safe treatment temperatures to 107 degrees and requiring multiple treatment sessions to see results.

Utilizing radiofrequency energy to target the subdermal or inner layer of your skin directly, the ThermiRF® device can safely heat the treatment area to an optimal temperature for skin tightening unavailable from other radiofrequency devices.

What is the Procedure for ThermiRF®?
ThermiRF® is an in-office cosmetic procedure done in our state-of-the-art Buinewicz Plastic Surgery facilities. The areas to be treated are numbed first with a small amount of local anesthetic. A very small incision is made to allow the radiofrequency fiber under the skin. The fiber heats the targeted tissues in an effective, safe and controlled fashion. It tightens the skin and diminishes lumpy fat pockets. Most patients tolerate the ThermiRF® procedure very well and experience little to no discomfort or downtime. The length of your treatment session depends on the size of the treatment area but typically does not exceed 60 minutes, and patients can return to normal activities after their appointment. While some mild swelling is normal, it will recede soon after the procedure.
What is the Cost for ThermiRF®?
The total cost of your ThermiRF® treatment will vary based upon how much treatment is required and how many ThermiRF® sessions are involved. During your consultation, we will develop a personalized treatment plan, and you will be informed of your treatment costs and methods of payment.
