Dr. Annie Buinewicz brings over three decades of medical experience to Buinewicz Plastic Surgery & Medspa. She built her early career in family medicine, followed by leading Global Employee Health at Merck & Co in the Division of Occupational Health,before shifting her focus to aesthetic and laser medicine. In addition to all non surgical Cosmetic procedures she leads the weight management program inclusive of the GLP1 medications. The practice is affiliated with the Dr. Well program which provides the highest quality of weight management medications and supplements. Patients know her for looking at the whole person, not just the treatment area, when she builds a care plan.Dr Annie assesses her patients and determines if they are candidates for non-surgical procedures or will defer to Dr Brian Buinewicz for his expertise in surgical correction. Dr Annie is hands-on with all patients and does not delegate patient care to extendors. She sees patients at both the Doylestown, PA and Flemington, NJ offices.
Education & Training
Dr. Buinewicz earned her Bachelor of Arts degree from Arcadia University graduating with the distinction of magna cum laude in 1981. She graduated with a major degree in Biology and a minor in Art. She went on to obtain her Medical Degree at Jefferson Medical College, now Kimmel Medical College in Philadelphia, graduating in 1986. It was there that she met her husband and practice partner, Dr. Brian Buinewicz.
She completed her internship in internal medicine at Chestnut Hill Hospital, an affiliate of Jefferson Hospital , in Philadelphia from 1986 to 1987, followed by a family practice residency at the same hospital from 1987 to 1989. Dr Annie in addition received her certificate of membership with the American College of Occupational and Environmental Medicine in 1997

Dr. Buinewicz is board certified by the American Board of Family Practice, a certification she earned in 1992. She holds certification membership with the American Board of Occupational and Environmental Medicine. In addition, has membership with ASLMS, The American Society for Laser Medicine and Surgery. She holds active medical licenses in Pennsylvania and New Jersey. She is certified in all laser treatments, non surgical cosmetic procedures inclusive of injectables, including BOTOX® and other toxins as well as all dermal fillers.

Dr. Buinewicz spent her early career in comprehensive family medicine, treating patients across Bucks County and the Philadelphia area, before moving into occupational health and, later, aesthetic medicine.
For more than 19 years, she has focused on laser therapies for aesthetic medicine. She performs a range of non-surgical treatments, including:

Innovation, Leadership, or Clinical Focus
Before joining the practice's cosmetic side, she enjoyed primary care medicine for several years and then spent 14 years at Merck & Co., first as Senior Medical Director of Integrated Health Management from 1997 to 2008. In that role, she oversaw Global corporate and site-level health programs across multiple domestic facilities and ensured the safety and well being of all levels of employees worldwide.
She has been on staff at Abington Memorial Hospital (now Jefferson Abington Hospital) since 1989. She has also held board positions with the American Heart Association's Northern New Jersey chapter and the Mental Health Association of New Jersey.
Dr. Buinewicz is a member of the American Academy of Family Physicians, the American Medical Association, the Pennsylvania Medical Society, the Bucks County Medical Society, and the American Society for Laser Medicine and Surgery (ASLMS), which is dedicated to advancing the science and clinical application of laser and energy-based technologies.
Early in her career, she contributed to published research on organ perfusion and microcirculation at Thomas Jefferson University, and co-authored a peer-reviewed article on organ perfusion evaluation.
