How Involved is the Voluma™ Procedure?
The Voluma™ procedure is quick, virtually painless, and produces immediate results. Voluma™ is injected directly into the appropriate areas of the face by Dr. Buinewicz. The procedure can take place in any of our offices. Though it is often unnecessary, patients may request a topical anesthetic. Patients can return to their daily activities directly following the procedure.
How Long is the Recovery Period Following Voluma™?
Voluma™ injections do not entail a recovery period, and patients are able to return to their normal routine immediately. Other procedures such as dental work or massages that involve pressure to the face should not be undertaken for two weeks following your treatment. A minority of patients may experience temporary side effects, including edema, redness, skin irritation, or soreness, at the site of injection but these will subside in a few days.
How Much Does Voluma™ Cost?
The cost of your treatment will be determined by your particular needs. Some patients require multiple injections, others choose to only administer one injection per visit, and some may choose to combine their injection with other treatments, which further alters the final cost.
