What is Dermaplaning?
Dermaplaning is a non-invasive cosmetic treatment that involves exfoliating facial skin using a scalpel. It feels much like getting a shave. It is performed on the face to remove peach fuzz and other excess facial hair or skin imperfections, as an alternative to laser hair removal or microdermabrasion. The results from dermaplaning are temporary and last typically about three to four weeks.

Is Dermaplaning Right for Me?

How Involved is Dermaplaning?

This procedure uses a 10-guage scalpel to gently scrape the top layer of skin removing dead cells and any unwanted facial hair. Dermaplaning is performed every three to four weeks only by a qualified dermatologist or plastic surgeon. It is safe for most skin types.
During a dermaplaning procedure, the clinician pulls the skin in the targeted area tightly then takes the scalpel and removes the outer layers of skin. It feels much the same as shaving your legs but is done on the face. The entire treatment takes about 30 to 45 minutes to complete.
