What is Dysport®?
Much like Botox®, Dysport® is an injectable that is designed to relax facial muscles. Over the years, our facial expressions can create dynamic wrinkles near the forehead, eyes, nose, and mouth. These deep facial wrinkles often become permanent when the muscles controlling them can no longer relax. Dysport® erases these cosmetic issues by temporarily relaxing the muscles just below the surface of the skin.

Is Dysport® Right For Me?
This injectable is an excellent option for adult patients who would like to smooth dynamic wrinkles. Unlike facelifts and other invasive procedures, this treatment does not require any incisions or stitches. Patients are often in and out of our office in just a few minutes, and the results are almost immediate.
How Involved Is The Dysport® Procedure?
This is an inpatient procedure that can generally be carried out in just 15 or 20 minutes. Most patients do not require topical anesthetics, but we do offer numbing gels to those who are still nervous about any discomfort. After the treatment site is clean and numb, the clinician will then inject the Dysport® into various areas throughout the face. Much like Botox®, the primary ingredient of Dysport® is a unique substance known as the botulinum toxin.
Within just moments of being injected, the botulinum toxin will begin blocking signals between the nerves and the muscles. This forces the muscles to relax and the skin to flatten. Depending on the severity of the wrinkles and creases, some patients require multiple injections near each treatment site. Patients can leave our office immediately following their injections and head right back to work or their other daily activities.
How Long Is The Recovery After Dysport®?
One of the biggest benefits of Dysport® is the fact that there is no recovery time. You are free to do whatever you like as soon as you step out of our office. We do suggest that patients refrain from rubbing their face for at least a day or two so that the Dysport® can settle. The full results of this injectable should become apparent within 14 days and typically last for at least six months.
How Much Does Dysport® Cost?
During your initial consultation, one of our patient coordinators will discuss all accepted forms of payment, including personal checks, cash, and credit cards. We also offer our patients a number of payment plans and financing options, which will also be discussed.
