Body Contouring 101: Arm Edition in Bucks County, PA

Brachioplasty in Bucks County, PA, and Hunterdon County, NJThe upper arms should be toned, but the aging process counteracts all the work you do in the gym. The upper arms can develop sagging skin and pockets of fat that create creases, wiggling and bumps. If you want to rejuvenate your upper arms, we offer several options, such as brachioplasty, CoolSculpting® and EMSCULPT®.

Non-Surgical Options for the Upper Arms

Mild to moderate problems in the upper arm area can be addressed without plastic surgery. Two of the treatments that we offer are CoolSculpting® and EMSCULPT®. CoolSculpting® works directly on the fat cells, and EMSCULPT® builds muscle that increases your body’s ability to burn fat. You can reduce fat in the upper arms by approximately 20% with a single one-hour CoolSculpting® treatment. EMSCULPT® requires a series of treatments over a two-week period. There is no downtime with these treatments. You will have sore muscles after your EMSCULPT® treatments, similar to what you feel after working out at the gym.

Brachioplasty: Plastic Surgery for the Upper Arms

Non-surgical treatments, such as CoolSculpting® and EMSCULPT® will not stop the aging process, so you may need a more extensive option in the future. Brachioplasty (arm lift surgery) removes the excess fat and skin to recontour the upper arms. The surgery does produce a significant scar on the underside of the arm from the elbow to the armpit. It also requires general anesthesia and up to three weeks for recovery.

Arm Contouring Cost

The cost of arm contouring depends on which option works best for you. A single CoolSculpting® treatment is approximately $750, and EMSCULPT® costs between $3,000 to $5,000 for the series of treatments. The cost of arm lift surgery starts at around $4,500.
